After we receive your request, we will expeditiously contact you to discuss your needs and our birds. We are physically located in Conway, AR and we ship out of the Little Rock Airport.

Payment Methods - PayPal, MasterCard, VISA, bank wire transfer, cashier's check, or money order.

Reserving a baby - Most all of our babies are sold/reserved before the babies reach 3 weeks old. Securing a baby requires a deposit via one of the payment methods denoted above. The deposit is applied to the final purchase price of the baby and is non-refundable. A ll fertile eggs and babies less than one week old may be reserved without a deposit; however, after a baby is 1 week old, y ou may claim it with a 25% deposit – otherwise, someone else may claim the baby. But once a 25% deposit is made, you are guaranteed the baby. T he balance must be paid in full prior to the shipment or pickup of the baby. All deposits are non-refundable unless the bird is undeliverable. Once birds are purchased they are non-returnable except when they are found to fall within our Health Guarantee denoted below.

Health Guarantee - Unless otherwise agreed upon, all babies will come with a 72-hour limited health guarantee. If your veterinarian performs a health examination within the allotted time period [72 hours] and discovers a problem too costly to cure, or a problem that cannot be reconciled, Feathered Companions, at our discretion, will replace the bird with one of the same kind, or buy the bird back. We reserve the option and right to obtain a second opinion from our veterinarian at our expense. Also, we require a fax from your veterinarian that denotes and explains the problem(s).

This health guarantee is valid when you have the bird examined within the allotted time (72-hours) and, in addition, notify us immediately of any changes in the health of the bird. Failure to adhere to these guidelines dictates that you have purchased the bird "as-is"; therefore, any warranties of health or fitness are waived.

Shipping Policies - Feathered Companions only ships weaned babies! No exceptions. A weaned bird is a bird that can fill their own crop for a minimum of two weeks and maintain a reasonable weight, prior to traveling. We ship by major airlines on a live animal priority basis; thereby, the birds are transported in special accommodations with the same environment pressure and temperature as the cabin for airline p assengers. We ship all year long.

Airfreight charges vary between airlines but average between $70 -$158 across the nation. Our babies are shipped from counter to counter. Additionally, we will always notify you with the airline flight number, air bill number and arrival time before the baby is shipped.

Health Certificates - In certain cases, health certificates may be required for certain states nd/or airline carriers. Feathered Companions will provide health certificates for an additional charge. The carriers that we use are typically kennel carriers. These carriers cost approximately $35 to $71 depending on the individual type of bird and yours to keep. Tests - Feathered Companions will take your baby bird to our local veterinarian for certain type testing before the baby is shipped. You can have the baby tested for sex and/or you can have the baby tested for health – CBC blood panel, beak and feather and chlamydeous tests. These tests are at an additional charge. We request that these tests be done a month prior to the shipping of the baby.
